3 Drinks That Are Dehydrating

They all have one (overlooked) thing in common

Whether you care about hydration for your athletic endeavors, for your chronically dry skin, or for general longevity, there’s no disputing that hydration is a crucial part of our health. It is what keeps our bodies ticking on more levels than we are even aware of.

Hydration has become a more interesting topic to research lately because it’s dawned on me that I want to be healthy for the rest of my life.

Being out of school though, I don’t have sports teams to keep me in shape anymore. No coach is going to tell me what I need to do or how to do it anymore.

If I don’t seek it out at this point, it will never happen.

I know that I want to be an athlete for life, and on a separate note, my skin has been dry for as long as I can remember. It’s my whole body too.

I’ve noticed people around me struggle with the same issue as well, and I don’t buy into the idea that we’re all supposed to later ourselves up in moisturizer every day. It just seems a little over the top.

For these simple reasons, hydration seems like the common denominator that needs more attention. That is why I sit here, drinking a nice cup of the first drink that is absolutely dehydrating-

Every morning. Every day. Sometimes twice a day. We have a problem.

I think many of us can feel that coffee is at least a little dehydrating. I’m sitting here right now with a dry mouth and dry lips, and I haven’t even finished my cup.

We also know that coffee makes us hit the restroom more often than usual. It’s not necessarily a bad thing either. For some of us, a little help getting the train to leave the station is needed, and if it works, it works, right?
