My first and last Tinder date

Two years back I was very unhappy in my life. I was working in the company for last 5 years on unsatisfied salary/ position and my love life was a nightmare.

I was so exhausted that I installed Tinder but with no plans to hook-up. It was like window-shopping, going through profiles and rating them. I was so lethargic that in 1 month I conversed with only 3 guys. As I had no plans for hook-up I never encouraged anyone to set a date. My first match was as lazy as I was. He asked my name, what/where I work and live and asked if he can check me on Facebook.This complete chat happened over 2 weeks. We shared numbers, and then nothing. Next week (31st Dec 2016) he called me and asked me to meet. I was unsure and honestly nervous as talking and meeting unknown person are different things. It was like a playground for me and for last 1 month I was standing on sides holding a ball, playing a game was a big deal. I postponed the date stating plans for 31st. He called next week (6th Jan 2017) and I said yes. I told my roommates, gave his number and made sure to update them about my location (I have watched too many crime related series).I wore sober clothes, so not to give him any ideas.

We went to a nice restaurant. We talked about our job, our cities, shared weird stories, made fun of each other and had a good time. He was really nice person and never said anything that can make me uncomfortable. He was a gentleman. While dropping home, we hugged to say goodbye. I tried to be bold and said we can kiss goodbye. He agreed. I kissed him(more like a peck you see in Korean drama) for milliseconds and got out of the car. I was 26 with experience in kissing and more and that’s how I kissed my date, SMH!

We met again and did justice to the kiss this time;). We started meeting every weekend and after some time I realized I don’t need Tinder anymore and may be this guy is a right guy for me. Although at that time I still had unresolved feelings for my ex, but I knew this man makes me more happy and comfortable. Happily I uninstalled Tinder. He uninstalled it next week. Luckily after two years, he is still right man for me and I am in a very happy place. And with pleasure I can say this man, my present boyfriend, my would be partner, was my first and last Tinder date.

Although this story seems romantic below are not-so-romantic facts our date -

He asked me on date (31st Dec)— He was in my area to give his car for servicing and wanted to put some hours to use. And as he had no other Tinder date available, he called me.

I postponed the date — I am people person and I don’t know how to say NO. So instead of saying no I promised to meet next week.

My plans for 31st — I had no plans. I was in my house with my roommate who had to cancel her plans so that I won’t stay alone. After we heard fireworks at midnight, we wished each other and went to sleep. I told him this after 2 months.

Our first kiss — It was horrible. Later he told me that actually all he felt was my front two teeth when I kissed him. I had big frontal teeth with braces. So he actually little stung.
