The Beautiful struggle through hard work

My husband and I made a choice to go back to London for one more project and then return to Spain. Our lives were on hold for the whole ten months. We did nothing but that project in London. We were focused. We needed to get it done so we can live our lives in the country we love and can do the things we want.

We bought a house that needed work. I was never involved in the house refurbishment before. It was all new to me. I didn’t know what to expect and what not to expect. We had to find builders. We had design the house. We had to put the budget together and execute it within a tight deadline. We had to make it absolutely beautiful. We did it all.

I was baffled that some of my friends wouldn’t understand what we are doing. I was even hurt a little. However, it’s not their fault they are the “walking dead”. I wish they’d wake up one day and see the light of day. Or maybe it’s the other way around? Maybe I don’t get the whole London life anymore. I am not the same person I was when I lived in London. I woke up.

I don’t work 9–5 so it’s confusing for people when I say I am flat out and working really hard. We had a massive house to make it into an amazing product for sale. People don’t understand how much time and effort this was. We were working every weekend on the house, design and getting all the parts for the builders.

That’s a big city “life” work, work and work. After all we did come there to make money…
