ANGER

During our lifetime, all of us experience anger many times. And why not? So many times life throws us a curve ball when we least expect it. Things seem to be chugging along quite nicely and then the crash occurs.

The pandemic is an excellent example. So many people’s lives, including mine, were turned upside down by repeated lockdowns and travel restrictions. Hundreds of thousands lost steady jobs and businesses. And what about those whose loved ones had to be admitted to hospitals with scant facilities and overworked staff? Nobody expected people to die like flies.

Its all very well for the gurus in saffron robes to sit around and spout wise words on being calm. They don’t do any work. They do not have any stress other than hoodwinking us. We are the gullible fools who listen to their clichés. I am sure there will be many readers who feel that I am looking at a half-filled cup and saying it is half-empty rather than half-full. In my humble opinion, life is basically shit. It has its ups and downs but if you are like me, there are far more downs than ups. My cup is empty 90% of the time. That is why I get angry quite often.

Anger is not a negative emotion. Expressing anger actually pushes us to perform better. To that end, anger can be seen as a positive reaction when used in a constructive manner. Anger benefits us in the following ways:
