Week 8 positional ranks

What a week of games we had in Week 7. We saw some great games and some great performances from our studs. The best news to come out of Week 7 though, was no key injury to a fantasy star. This season has been crazy with not many players being consistent, which is what we need to fill out or lineups as best as possible. What will make filling out our lineups even harder this week? Six teams are on a bye — the Cardinals, Packers, Rams, Giants, Titans and Jaguars will all be sitting at home this week. We also have a game in London this weekend. This is the last game overseas and starts extremely early so be prepared for that. Now kicking off Week 8, I’m sure some of you may be out of the playoff race at this point. It’s paramount that you continue to play out the season, not just for pride but for the league integrity. It’s always fun to be the spoiler and stop someone from making the playoffs. For those of you in the hunt, as always may the fantasy gods shine down on your team this week and grant you a win.

Man did Carson Wentz have a game Monday night. Cleveland Browns fans like myself are still trying to figure out how they passed on him. Make sure you don’t if you have him. Most people drafted him to be their backup, but he is one of the best fantasy QBs for the season, and I think will continue that way. Deshaun Watson, who has also been playing well, was dropped some this week since Seattle has been stout against the QB. So use him if you dare.

So this Ezekiel Elliot kid is pretty good huh. Zeke destroyed the porous 49 defense last week, which I did not see coming. Melvin Gordon had a rough week against the best run defense in the league last week, but should bounce back this week. Be careful with Jerrick McKinnon this week. I know he’s going against the Browns, however they are only giving up two yards per rushing attempt, and haven’t allows a rushing TD in six weeks. Also for all the Joe Mixon owners, lets hope Marvin Lewis finally decided to let the kid run.

So, ya, that A.J. Green call last week was my bad. Everything pointed to him having a huge game as he usually does against the Steelers, but he fell on his face such is fantasy. Julio Jones finally scored for the first time in the 2017 season. With six teams on a bye, depending on the depth of the league your in, lineups could look a little scary this week, but WR is still pretty deep. Continue to play your studs and hope that we see more offense this week than we did last week.

Ertz has moved to the No. 1 TE overall for me. He’s played so well this year and with his scoring, to me he’s the best TE in the NFL. As for TE this week, most in the top 12 have good match ups and could score this week. Outside of that, a dark horse for me is David Njoku. Deshone Kizer will be starting again for the Browns against a good Vikings defense. The Browns are desperate for a win and if they get into the red zone I think he’ll get multiple targets.
